Regional Aircrafts - Leasing Empty
PostSubject: Regional Aircrafts - Leasing   Regional Aircrafts - Leasing EmptyWed Jul 15, 2009 7:51 pm

This is a suggested Lease list for Regional Aircrafts
Please note that STAR ALLIANCE Members pay the Alliance Discount Cost for all leased planes
Very Happy

Yakovlev Yak-40
Notes: The Yak-Yak has a rating needed of 3 and since you have to keep a leased plane for three day, you would be better off waiting to leasse the ATR 42.

ATR 42 (Very Short Range)
Seats: 44 (44 Economy, 0 Business, 0 First)
Range: 2,000 KM (1,250 MILES)
Cruise speed: 450 KM/H (280 MP/H)
Cargo Capacity: 835 KG
Cost: $28,000 (Per Day)
Alliance Discount Cost: $25,200 (Per Day)
Rating Needed: 3.50
Notes: Do not attempt to fly this plane over 400km or you will lose money

Antonov An-140
Seats: 52 (52 Economy, 0 Business, 0 First)
Range: 1,380 KM (863 MILES)
Cruise speed: 460 KM/H (286 MP/H)
Cargo Capacity: 957 KG
Cost: $36,000 (Per Day)
Alliance Discount Cost: $32,400 (Per Day)
Rating Needed: 4.50
Notes: If you leased the ATR 42 and can wait until you have a rating of 6 to lease the ATR 72 then I would skip this plane. If you haven't leased the ATR 42 than this is a better plane as it has more pax and cargo and its faster.

ATR 72
Seats: 74 (74 Economy, 0 Business, 0 First)
Range: 1,650 KM (1,031 MILES)
Cruise speed: 500 KM/H (311 MP/H)
Cargo Capacity: 1,140 KG
Cost: $48,000 (Per Day)
Alliance Discount Cost: $43,200 (Per Day)
Rating Needed: 6.00

Antonov An-148
Seats: 80 (80 Economy, 0 Business, 0 First)
Range: 3,600 KM (2,250 MILES)
Cruise speed: 850 KM/H (528 MP/H)
Cargo Capacity: 1,500 KG

Alliance Discount Cost: $64,800 (Per Day)
Rating Needed: 9.00

Fokker 70
Seats: 79 (71 Economy, 8 Business, 0 First)
Range: 2,040 KM (1,275 MILES)
Cruise speed: 740 KM/H (460 MP/H)
Cargo Capacity: 1,900 KG
Cost: $88,000 (Per Day)
Alliance Discount Cost: $79,200 (Per Day)
Rating Needed: 11.00

Tupolev Tu-334
Seats: 102 (90 Economy, 12 Business, 0 First)
Range: 3,000 KM (1,875 MILES)
Cruise speed: 820 KM/H (509 MP/H)

Cost: $116,000 (Per Day)
Alliance Discount Cost: $104,400 (Per Day)
Rating Needed: 14.50

Cruise speed: 855 KM/H (531 MP/H)
Cargo Capacity: 2,439 KG
Cost: $124,000 (Per Day)
Alliance Discount Cost: $111,600 (Per Day)

Is the Tupolev Tu 334 any good compared to the CRJ 900. If you do a direct comparison the Tupolev wins on number of pax and cargo and range.

The TU-334 is a better plane than the CRJ900 which is why I added the TU-334 and removed the CRJ900 from the list.
I will list all the planes available and note as to why or why not you should lease them.

The Boeing 717 is a great plane to own, but not to lease.
The ERJ190 has more pax and not mush less in cargo room for 16,000 less a day.
The additional speed is not woth the extra 16K a day.
Plus, if you wait until you have the extra rating point, you can lease the MD-81 which will make more money then the Boeing 717 due to more pax and cargo for only 8K more a day then the boeing 717.
